Hyprland 0.45 released with smoother rounding edges, window snapping, and many bug fixes

Hyprland, a dynamic tiling Wayland compositor known for its high customizability, has launched version 0.45, incorporating several improvements and bug fixes. This update introduces breaking changes, such as the removal of the no_gaps_when_only feature, now replaced with workspace rules, offering a more streamlined and layout-agnostic approach. Additionally, the decoration:shadow_ options have been renamed.

The release enhances the algorithm for rounding edges, ensuring smoother visuals for rounded corners, borders, and rectangles. NVIDIA users will notice improved default behavior for hardware cursors, which are now disabled by default due to their buggy nature. New group functionalities include group_on_movetoworkspace, merge_groups_on_groupbar, and more.

Support for hyprland-ctm-control means hyprsunset compatibility, and the compositor now provides warnings for incorrectly installed assets, preventing silent failures. Floating windows can now snap, and the behavior of expanding undersized textures is configurable. A new sharp option for shadows without blur is available, and hyprctl has additional properties for keyboard and monitor statuses. The config error bar now reserves space to avoid obstructing the view. The release also includes numerous bug fixes.
