Google Keep for Android gets a clean redesign with a new floating action button
Google Keep, the widely-used note-taking application from Google, has undergone a redesign that streamlines its interface by incorporating a new floating action button, akin to the design seen in Google Tasks. The previous bottom bar has been replaced, and the new button serves as a multifunctional tool for creating new notes and accessing other options previously available on the bottom bar. This change aligns with the user interface seen in mobile versions of Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
However, the option to create an audio note is no longer included in the floating action button menu. Instead, users can access this feature directly from within a note. The removal of the old bar increases visible content space, although it alters the process of starting a list or note from a one-step action to a multi-step process.
The redesign is being introduced as a server-side update with version 5.24.432.x of Google Keep for Android users.
