ASKfm, the anonymous question and answer platform, will shut down on December 1st, 2024
ASKfm, a well-known platform for asking questions and engaging in anonymous conversations, has announced its decision to cease operations after more than a decade in service. The platform will officially discontinue its services starting December 1, 2024. This decision comes in light of a notable decline in its user base, with the company stating that its model no longer aligns with the current needs of social media users.
The service will remain operational until December 1st to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Users are advised to save any desired data or content from their accounts before this date. Following the shutdown, all personal data will be deleted as soon as possible, though some data types might take up to 90 days for complete removal.
From October 24, 2024, new registrations on the platform will be disabled, and support for various features will be gradually phased out.
