Thunderbird has just released the first stable version for Android after two years of work

Two years after announcing plans to bring Thunderbird to Android by incorporating K-9 Mail, the Thunderbird team has released the first stable version for Android. This version is now available for download on the Google Play Store.

This release include a new Material 3 folder drawer, offering a refreshed interface. It also updates OAuth support for Fastmail and various other email providers, enhances folder management, and removes folder display and push classes. Additionally, translations have been updated for multiple languages, including Norsk Nynorsk and Irish. Other minor improvements, accessibility enhancements, and bug fixes are also part of this release.

Users can migrate settings from K-9 Mail or Thunderbird Desktop to the Android version using an in-app settings import or QR codes, respectively.

Finally. K-9 was really struggling with UI and new Thunderbird icon is just amazing.
