Play 2.0 introduces new features for improved interactions, including Variables & Prefabs

The UI design and prototyping tool, Play, has released its most significant update yet with version 2.0, introducing a range of features aimed at enhancing interaction design during prototyping. Among these features are Prefabs, which are pre-fabricated interactions that can be seamlessly integrated into projects, eliminating the need for manual setup. This update also introduces advanced logic capabilities through Conditions, allowing actions to vary based on specific triggers and circumstances using "If" statements.

The update introduces Variables supporting strings, numbers, and booleans, which, when combined with Conditions, allow for creating complex interactions. The new Expression editor provides access to over 50 object properties, enabling users to build custom interactions with variables, triggers, and conditions.

Additionally, the Animate & Delay Blocks allows for simultaneous choreography of actions and the application of animation settings or delays, while Loops streamline repetitive tasks by applying actions across all objects within a page or stack. The update aslo includes new Triggers & Actions, as well as enhancements to existing ones. There are also several new UI updates focused on improving workflow efficiency that can be found in the official changelog.
