openSUSE Tumbleweed update brings Linux kernel 6.11, PostgreSQL 17, HarfBuzz 10, and more

openSUSE has released the September update for its Tumbleweed rolling release Linux distribution. This update is powered by the Linux kernel 6.11 and includes significant updates such as PostgreSQL 17 and HarfBuzz 10.

The desktop environments have also seen updates with GNOME 46.5, KDE Plasma 6.1.5, KDE Framework 6.6.0, and KDE Gear 24.08.1 now included. Other notable software updates include git 2.46.1, qemu 9.1.0, systemd 256.6, PipeWire 1.2.4, GStreamer 1.24.8, Mesa 24.1.7, GTK4 4.16.1, bash 5.2.37, and vim 9.1.0718.

In addition to these updates, various packages received CVE fixes, enhancing security and stability. This includes critical security fixes for PostgreSQL, libtiff, and LibreOffice. The update also brings numerous minor enhancements and bug fixes across the distribution.
