Apple expands Business Connect for managing presence across emails, calls, and Tap to Pay
Apple has announced an expansion of its Apple Business Connect service, aimed at enhancing how businesses engage with over 1 billion Apple users. This service allows businesses, irrespective of their physical presence, to establish a consistent brand identity across popular Apple apps like Maps, Wallet, and Mail. Verified businesses can manage their location place cards by updating photos, logos, and facilitating customer actions such as ordering food or making reservations directly from these cards.
The latest updates enable businesses, including those operating fully online, to register for Business Connect and create a visual brand identity. They can now sign up to display their brand in the Mail and Phone apps, and customize their logo in Tap to Pay on iPhone. This feature allows businesses to replace category icons with their logos during transactions, reinforcing trust and authenticity.
Looking ahead, Apple plans to introduce Business Caller ID next year, allowing businesses to display their name, logo, and department on the inbound call screen. This feature aims to help customers easily identify and trust verified businesses, distinguishing them from spam or unwanted calls.
