Telegram expands 'view-once' to voice/video messages, and adds new premium features
The latest Telegram update has brought several new features, including the expansion of the 'view-once' feature, initially introduced last year, with new support for voice and video messages. Users can now allow recipients to listen or view these messages only once by selecting the 'view-once' icon after recording. Additionally, Telegram has introduced a pause and resume recording feature, and read-time controls for private chats. These features can be toggled on or off in the settings.
The Premium version of the app is also offering the ability to hide their read time while still viewing others' read time, if publicly shared. Premium users can control who can send them messages, with options such as "Everyone" or "My Contacts and Premium User."
There are also updates for the bot platform, allowing bots to respond to messages, manage reactions, quotes, links, and send replies to other chats or topics, thus expanding the functionality of bots within the platform.
