Journaling app Day One introduces 'Shared Journals' feature to safely share memories

Day One, a popular journaling app for iOS and macOS, has launched an update featuring Shared Journals, designed to amalgamate stories and memories with loved ones. Shared Journals provide a private space for intimate friends and family members to exchange life updates and reminiscences. This fresh concept in journaling allows sharing of personal narratives and experiences with a handpicked group of up to 30 individuals, while maintaining the privacy and security of individual entries.

The Shared Journals feature is available with Day One Premium, and those invited can access the shared journal using a free account. Noteworthy features include the segregation of shared and private journals, a limitation of 30 members per shared journal, and end-to-end encryption of shared journals. Members also have the ability to comment and react to shared journal entries.

Shared Journals are an entirely optional feature, giving users the flexibility to opt for either shared journaling or a more solitary journaling journey. The feature is versatile and can be utilized for various purposes, such as maintaining family connections or within small friend groups.
