Evernote unveils interface overhaul for enhanced user experience and modern look

Evernote has introduced an extensive overhaul of its interface, aspiring to deliver a fresher, cleaner look to its primary features such as the gallery, Notes list & Editor, Tasks, Notebook list, and Spaces (Teams). The redesign will be gradually rolled out in the coming days, with and early access link available for those interested.

The redesign emphasizes subtle user UI adjustments to improve user experience without disrupting existing workflows. The changes are guided by four design principles: respecting current workflows, enhancing focus by eliminating visually distracting elements, infusing modern elements to align with current industry standards, and simplifying the design system for future iterations. It also integrates the Inter typeface as the default font, a subtle change that significantly improves note readability without compromising information density.

You can check the comparison pictures with the changes from the old/current version here, just keep in mind that the company is beta testing the final interface and may make further changes based on user feedback. This new update comes just a couple of months after the recent controversial changes to the Evernote's free subscription plan.
