Calibre 7.4 has been launched with several UI improvements and support for new devices

calibre version 7.4 has been recently launched, an upgraded version of the popular free open-source ebook management software compatible with GNU/Linux, macOS, and Windows systems.

The new version has improved its UI with several enhancements. Users can now assign keyboard shortcuts for tag browser sort functions, and a new shortcut has been added for toggling the main window layout. The software also includes a search button in the Category notes browser to find books within a selected category, and a Narrow layout option has been introduced for narrow aspect ratio windows, with the cover browser placed above the book list. The Preferences section has been moved to the left in the default toolbar layout for better accessibility on small screens.

This updated release offers support for the Supernote A6X2 Nomad device, an electronic notebook designed for distraction-free reading and writing. There are also improvements to news sources, as well as several bug fixes that you can check in detail here.
