Cultured Code introduces interactive widgets in Things 3.19 for iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS
Cultured Code has released a significant update for its task manager app Things, using the capabilities of iOS 17, watchOS 10, and iPadOS 17. The update focuses on introducing interactive widgets for all three devices, including iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
Interactive home screen widgets have been implemented on the iPhone and iPad, allowing users to mark tasks as complete directly from the Things widget, with numerous customization options for them, and eliminating the need to open the app.
Apple Watch users can now use the Smart Stack feature, which displays the next three tasks in the Things widget on their watch. The app's design on the Apple Watch has been modified to match the look of watchOS 10. With iOS 17, iPhones now have a StandBy mode when charging in landscape orientation, where apps can be displayed as widgets. In StandBy mode, Things presents a large, easily readable task list using a red-on-black text for better visibility in low-light conditions.
Furthermore, Things will also support macOS Sonoma's upcoming desktop widgets feature when macOS 14 launches later this month.
