Apple unveils iOS 17 Developer Beta 6 with enhanced UI improvements
Apple has released iOS 17 Developer Beta 6, ahead of the iPhone 15 series launch on September 13, 2023. The update, with build number 21A5312c, introduces significant changes to the user interface and is available as an OTA download, with a file size of approximately 766.6 MB.
Key alterations include a redesigned phone call screen, featuring the end call button in the center for improved usability. The Screen Distance feature now claims to "reduce eye strain", a more assertive description than its previous "helping" to do so. A Carrier Voicemail call button, offering visual transcriptions of voicemails, has been added to the Phone app. The Photos screen now offers an Album tab for pets, similar to Google Photos, and allows users to zoom in on photos, which then displays a crop button for easier cropping.
The Apple Health app now includes the option to log "weather" as a mood-influencing factor. A detailed list of bug fixes, changes, and new features is available on Apple's website, where users can also register to test beta updates before the official release.
