Reddit is sunsetting its Gold Awards System and plans a simpler one in the future

Reddit has announced a significant revamp of its Gold awards system, including the discontinuation of coins and awards such as Medals, Premium Awards, and Community Awards. The option to purchase new coins has been removed, but existing awards and coins will remain usable until September 12, 2023. This decision was made in response to user feedback, as many find the current system, which offers over 50 awards, excessively complex.
