Open source graphic design software Krita unveils latest Version 5.2.0 beta with improved features

Krita, the well-known open source graphic design software, has recently launched its latest version, 5.2.0 beta, a couple of months after the preceding release. The new update is not just about user-visible changes aimed at refining artists' workflow but also involves substantial internal enhancements to future-proof the software.

Version 5.2.0 brings a range of updates that include enhanced audio playback and video export for animation, improved text handling, and a completely revamped color selector. The handling of the JPEG-XL file format has also been advanced, providing users with more efficient image compression capabilities.

Further improvements have been made to the transform tool and brush engine settings, enabling more precise control and versatility in graphic design and digital painting tasks.

The new version of Krita is now available for download on various platforms including Mac, Windows, Linux, and Android.
