Arc Browser now publicly available for Mac and iOS Users in version 1.0!

Following two years of testing and a waitlist period, Arc Browser is now publicly available for download, though currently only for Mac and iOS users. A Windows version is anticipated later in the year. The Browser Company, the developers behind Arc, aim for it to be more than a standard browser, positing it as "the internet's operating system." To achieve this, Arc is equipped with unique features such as note-taking tools, collaborative easels, webpage redesign abilities, and a picture-in-picture mode for Google Meet calls.

Despite Arc version 1.0 not introducing any major new features, the focus has been on broadening its accessibility. The Browser Company has been diligently addressing performance issues related to the Chromium engine that drives the browser. Arc's innovative approach to tabs and bookmarks has garnered significant attention from tech and design enthusiasts, distinguishing it from other popular browsers like Google Chrome, Safari or Microsoft Edge.

Currently, the Arc iOS app functions more as a companion app than a full browser. However, the developers are actively investigating the integration of AI to enhance the browser's functionalities. Although new users may need time to adapt to Arc's structure and aesthetic, it has already amassed a dedicated user base, suggesting its potential to become a significant contender in the browser market.
