Stremio releases Major Updates, including Stremio Web for On-the-Go streaming

Stremio , the popular media streaming platform, has recently released a series of big updates after months of silence. The most notable update is the introduction of Stremio Web, a web app that can be used either alone or with the Stremio Service companion app.

Stremio Web's alpha was released in April 2020, and finally reached its stable stage. Many users have reported using it on their iPhone and iPad, making it a convenient option for on-the-go streaming.

In addition to Stremio Web, the company has also released a new version od their Android TV app, v1.5.8, with several fixes and improvements. This update aims to enhance the user experience by addressing common issues reported by users.

Stremio Desktop v4.4.160 Release is another major update that includes configurable max volume up to 200%, better subtitles sanitization, and more. However, this version reportedly crashed on app start for MacOS High Sierra, Mojave, and Catalina. The issue stems from an SSL library that stopped support for these MacOS versions.

To address this issue, a hotfix was published to fix the problem. The company has advised users to update their Stremio Desktop to the latest version.

The recent updates from Stremio have been welcomed by users who have been waiting for new features and improvements. With Stremio Web, Android TV app, and Stremio Desktop, users now have more options for streaming their favorite TV shows and movies.
