File archiver PeaZip 9.3.0 released with new features and improvements
PeaZip, the popular file archiver utility, has just announced the release of its latest version, 9.3.0. This new version comes with a host of new features and improvements, making it an even more powerful tool for managing file archives.
One of the most significant additions to this new version is the ability to display file-level comments in archives. This feature will prove to be useful for users who need to add comments to specific files within an archive. Additionally, the new version allows users to check free space before archiving and extraction tasks, which will help to prevent errors and ensure that there is enough space available for the task at hand.
Another welcome addition is the ability to manually set the Rar.exe or equivalent binary for RAR creation. This will improve support for that function on Wine and other non-Windows based alternatives, making it more accessible to a wider range of users. PeaZip's 7z backend has also been updated to version 23.01, while Pea itself has been updated to version 1.13. This ensures that the tool is up-to-date and able to handle the latest file formats and compression methods.
The new version also features improved themes, with a new contrast setting and the ability to customize icons for archive types. With this new release, PeaZip now supports a total of 230 file extensions, making it one of the most versatile archiving tools available. Additionally, translations are available in over 30 languages, making it accessible to users all over the world.
