1Password is working on adding native passkey support thanks to new iOS 17 API

1Password , one of the most popular password managers on the market, has announced that it will introduce a new Passkey feature to simplify authentication on iOS 17. The announcement comes after Apple unveiled a new passkey API that will be implemented in the upcoming operating system.

The Passkey feature is not entirely new, as users have been able to create and store passkeys with Safari and iCloud Keychain since iOS 16. However, with the release of iOS 17, this same experience will be available for third-party apps, including 1Password.
