WhatsApp will let users edit their messages up to 15 minutes after they're sent

WhatsApp, the popular messaging app, has announced a new feature that will allow users to edit their sent messages. The new feature is designed to give users more control over their chats and enable them to correct mistakes or add extra context to their messages.

All you need to do is long-press on a sent message and choose ‘Edit’ from the menu for up to fifteen minutes after. This means that users can quickly correct any errors or add more information to a message they have already sent.

The edited messages will display ‘edited’ alongside them, so those you’re messaging are aware of the correction without showing edit history. As with all personal messages, media and calls, your messages and the edits you make are protected by end-to-end encryption.

According to WhatsApp, this feature has started rolling out to users globally and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks. The company believes that this new feature will make messaging more convenient and efficient for users.
