Netflix enhances "My List" feature with new filters and 'Coming Soon' row
In an effort to enhance user experience and improve content discovery, Netflix has unveiled a new version of its "My List" feature, initially launched back in 2013, which allows viewers to save content for later viewing. These updates include the introduction of new filters and a forthcoming "Coming soon" row.
With the introduction of new filters, Netflix users can now sort their saved content in various ways. The addition of filters enables viewers to arrange their list in alphabetical order, by release date, content type, or the order in which it was added. These filters aim to simplify the task of navigating through the ever-expanding collection of content users accumulate in their lists.
Moreover, additional filters have been implemented to assist users in finding unwatched content. The "Haven't Started" and "Started" filters categorize content based on what has already been watched and what is yet to be explored. This feature proves beneficial, particularly since the My List feature does not automatically remove completed content, allowing users to revisit shows or films they may have initially forgotten about.
Initially, the new filters will be available exclusively on the mobile app, with Android users receiving the update first, followed by the iOS rollout over the next few weeks. Netflix is actively working towards expanding these features to other platforms and devices.

Notably, Netflix is also introducing a new feature for those who prefer watching content on TV screens or streaming devices. The platform will soon introduce a dedicated "Coming soon" row, which will showcase upcoming movies and shows. Users can set reminders for these upcoming releases, ensuring they do not miss out on premieres and, ideally, avoid potential spoilers.
By continually making adjustments and introducing new functionalities, Netflix aims to provide its viewers with a seamless and personalized streaming experience. These updates to the "My List" feature and the introduction of the "Coming soon" row exemplify Netflix's commitment to enhancing content discovery and keeping users engaged.
