Mastodon client Ivory 1.4 released with Safari extension and other new features
Tapbots, the developer behind the popular Tweetbot app, has released a new version of Ivory for Mastodon, a Mastodon client for iOS. The latest version, Ivory 1.4, comes with several new features aimed at enhancing the user experience.
One of the major additions to Ivory 1.4 is the “Open in Ivory” Safari extension. This feature allows users to open links from Safari directly in Ivory, making it easier to switch between the two apps.
In addition, Ivory 1.4 features a completely redesigned media viewer that allows users to show or hide alternative text. The app also has a new behavior option that reminds users to add alt text before posting, ensuring that posts are accessible to everyone.
Another improvement in Ivory 1.4 is the fetching of new posts when users are far behind in their timeline. With this feature, users can quickly catch up on missed posts without having to scroll through their entire timeline.
The new version of Ivory also includes new alternate app icons, giving users the ability to customize the look of the app to their liking.
