HBO Max is now Max: Warner Bros. rebrands its streaming service adding Discovery Plus content and more

Warner Bros. Discovery has finally announced the rebranding of HBO Max, which will now be known as HBO Max . The new name is simpler and more concise, reflecting the company's goal of making their streaming service more accessible to a wider audience.

Max will combine the content from HBO Max and Discovery Plus, offering a vast array of movies, TV shows, and documentaries. Similar to HBO Max, there will be no free trial period for Max. Monthly plans will start at $9.99 with ads, while an Ad-Free plan will be available at $15.99. For those who want the ultimate streaming experience, the Ultimate Ad-Free plan will be offered at $19.99 per month, which includes 4k support and the ability to stream on up to four devices at once.

The service will come with 60 fps content, adding to the overall viewing experience. Additionally, select content and devices will feature Dolby Atmos and Vision.

At the moment, Max is only available in the United States, but Warner Bros. plans to expand to Latin America and the Caribbean region by the end of 2023. They hope to bring Max to Europe and Southeast Asia in 2024.

With the rebranding of HBO Max to Max, the company aims to provide a comprehensive streaming service that caters to a diverse audience. In the future, they're hoping to make Max accessible to viewers worldwide, offering a unique viewing experience that combines the best of both worlds – HBO Max and Discovery Plus.
