Twitter removes search function for non-logged-In users
Twitter has once again stirred controversy with its latest update that has left some users fuming. The social media giant has made a significant change to its platform by no longer allowing users to search the site without first logging in.
Previously, anyone could visit Twitter's homepage and use the search function to look up tweets, hashtags, and users without needing to sign in. But the latest update has removed this feature, leaving non-logged-in users with only the Explore tab to scroll through.
The Explore tab offers a curated list of tweets that users can browse through, but the search field is no longer available until after signing in. While some users may not be bothered by this change, others have expressed their frustration over the move.
This isn't the first time Twitter has made controversial changes to its platform. Recently, the company has faced backlash over its handling of hate speech and misinformation on the site. And now, the latest update has left some users feeling like their freedom to access information has been restricted.
