Spotify shuts down Spotify Live, but Vows to continue exploring live features

Spotify is shutting down its live-audio app Spotify Live, formerly known as Spotify Greenroom, but says it will continue to explore live features within its main service.

The company said in a statement that it had decided to “sunset the Spotify Live app” as it no longer “makes sense as a standalone app.” Spotify Live was an audio experience from Spotify that lets you listen to live discussions (like Clubhouse).

Spotify has said that it will continue to experiment with live features within its main app, and will explore ways to bring more live experiences to more people around the world.
