Django 4.2: A Powerful Long-Term Support Release for Web App Development
Yesterday, Django, a popular Python framework for web app development, released version 4.2. This new version has been designated as a long-term support (LTS) release, guaranteeing security and data loss fixes for the next three years.
Django 4.2 includes several new features to help developers build better web apps more quickly and with less code. These features include psycopg version 3 support, comments on columns and tables, support for asynchronous streaming responses, and async interfaces for related managers and Model.
Django 4.0 has now reached the end of extended support. All Django 4.0 users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to Django 4.1 or later in order to take advantage of the new features and improved security.
