Valve adds privacy feature to Steam, letting users hide purchased games
Valve has unveiled a beta update for its Steam client, featuring a new privacy feature that allows users to control the visibility of their purchased games on the platform. Beta testers can now mark games as private, making them invisible to other users for whatever reason you want (no judgments here!).
The privacy feature can be activated from three locations: the user's shopping cart, their game list on a web browser, or directly within the Steam desktop client. Users can also mark purchases as private during the checkout process. This gives users an additional level of control over their gaming privacy, and as far as I'm concerned, this isn't something that other platforms like Xbox or PlayStation have, so it's a good addition.
The beta update also enhances the shopping cart functionality, where users can now simultaneously add gift games for multiple friends to their cart. There's also a unified cart across all devices, although this feature is currently only available on the beta Steam client.

Hey... maybe it'd be useful to hide your thousands of hours in games too. Not that I'm talking for myself, but I've seen some 'dedicated' people out there xD
This update was made for those degens playing dozens of hentai games & felt shame over it.
👏 Nice. Maybe working with the Linux kernel makes them realise that gamers sometimes want privacy too?
