Obsidian 1.5 Desktop brings enhanced Markdown tables, improved search feature, and more
Obsidian, the renowned flexible note-taking app, has launched version 1.5 of its desktop application. This latest version introduces a completely redesigned editor for Markdown tables, making it easier for users to create, edit, sort, reorder, select, copy, and paste table rows and columns. This functionality is accessible via context menu, command palette, and hotkeys. Despite these enhancements, tables remain saved to plain text Markdown.
The 1.5 update for Obsidian's desktop application also includes a host of new features. Users can now rename properties globally, and the global search function has been expanded to work with non-string property values. The global properties view has also been updated to include a filter option.
Additional enhancements in Obsidian 1.5 for desktop include a new formatting menu and an improved autocomplete feature. The version history has also been enhanced, with changes now grouped by author. The number of vaults has been increased from 5 to 10, and the maximum file size has doubled from 100 MB to 200 MB.
In addition to these updates, Obsidian 1.5 for desktop includes a variety of other changes, improvements, and bug fixes.
