Mozilla introduces new features for its VPN services and passes security audit
Mozilla has announced a series of updates to its VPN service, following a recent security audit. The audit, conducted by Berlin-based cybersecurity firm Cure53, identified two critical or high priority vulnerabilities, along with several medium or low priority issues. Mozilla has provided detailed information on how these issues have been addressed in a blog post, as well as the published security audit report.
In addition to addressing security vulnerabilities, Mozilla VPN has introduced new features designed to enhance user safety online. The VPN now includes additional protection against phishing, spyware, and viruses, collectively referred to as malware.
A further update to Mozilla VPN is the introduction of a feature that recommends the highest-performing server locations to users. The recommendations are specifically measured for each user and are presented when a server location is being selected.
