Markdown note-taking app Bear launches version 2.1 with 'Quick Open' feature and more

Bear, the well-known Markdown note-taking application, has rolled out its 2.1 version, featuring 'Quick Open' — a tool designed to streamline the search for notes, hashtags, and sections. This feature enhances the navigation of notes and tags, providing a more efficient user experience.

The new 'Quick Open' box can be accessed with a simple shortcut or swipe, regardless of the current operation in Bear. Users can type the first few characters of a note, #hashtag, or @section, and open it instantly, thus saving time and increasing productivity.

In addition, Bear 2.1 introduces several other enhancements and additions. Notably, it now includes a direct importer for Obsidian, expanding its compatibility with other note-taking apps. Furthermore, support for importing Markdown files with attachments has also been incorporated into this update.

Bear 2.1 is now available for download in the App Store and Mac App Store.
