Quora's chatbot platform, Poe, launches monetization initiative for AI bot creators

Quora's AI chatbot platform, Poe, is making strides in the creator economy by introducing a new initiative that allows bot creators to monetize their efforts. This move marks one of the first attempts to financially incentivize individuals who build AI bots.

Bot creators can generate income through two main methods under this program. Firstly, they can earn a share of the revenue when a user subscribes to Poe as a result of their bot. Secondly, bot creators will soon have the option to set a per-message fee, which Quora will pay for every message exchanged with their bot.

Poe, launched in February, provides a central platform for users to interact with a variety of AI chatbots, including those developed by OpenAI, Amazon, and Google-backed Anthropic. Quora aims to use Poe's content to enhance its main Q&A site and potentially reach its 400 million monthly visitors when the content meets quality standards.
