Passbolt unveils version 4.4 with TOTP management and enhanced user controls
Passbolt, the secure and open source password manager designed for teams and businesses, has announced the release of version 4.4 of its Community Edition. This update brings new features and improvements, enhancing the overall user experience.
One of the key additions to this release is the ability to manage Time-based One-Time Passwords (TOTPs) directly from the browser. This extends the TOTP experience across all devices, allowing users to create, delete, organize, and share TOTPs just like any other resource type.
Version 4.4 also introduces a new capability for administrators: the option to suspend or unsuspend users. This feature gives administrators greater control over access management of their instance, enabling them to effectively manage user access.
The new release also includes a series of fixes and enhancements aimed at improving user experience. Notably, notification emails have been optimized and are now aggregated in certain scenarios. This includes limiting the number of emails sent when a user imports a large number of passwords, reducing email clutter and improving efficiency.
