Nitrux 3.2.0 launches with Linux Kernel 6.6, Aesthetic FHS, and updated installer
Nitrux, a Linux desktop distribution founded on Debian and KDE Plasma, has announced the launch of its 3.2.0 version, code-named “af”. This latest version integrates an array of new software updates, bug rectifications, performance enhancements, and ready-to-use hardware support.
The code-name “af” stands for “Aesthetic FHS”, which signifies Nitrux's initiative to modify the root directory's structure, making FHS directories more comprehensible and their purpose easier to understand. This is the preliminary execution of a proposed new file system hierarchy standard for Nitrux.
The 3.2 version of Nitrux is driven by the Linux Kernel 6.6.2 and incorporates several software updates, including Firefox 120, KDE Gear 23.08.3, and PipeWire 1.0, among others.
Additionally, it introduces an updated installer (Calamares) and signed bootloader binaries to ensure Secure Boot compatibility while booting the ISO.
