Instagram launches AI-driven custom stickers creation, Reels tools, and new Media Clip Hub

Instagram has introduced a new feature that allows users to create custom stickers for Reels and Stories using AI. Based on Meta’s Segment Anything AI model, users can cut out objects from photos or videos from their Camera Roll or Instagram. The process involves highlighting the subject in the image, similar to the image cutout feature in Apple's iOS 16, and adjusting the sticker's subject if necessary. A "Create" option has been added next to the sticker search entry box for this purpose.

The new custom AI stickers are currently being tested, indicating potential future changes. The social network has also rolled out other updates for Reels aimed at creators. These include "undo" and "redo" features for Reels, the ability to scale, crop, and rotate individual clips within Reels, and a new Media Clip hub for creating memes by adding audio-enhanced clips to Reels.
