WhatsApp officially rolls out multiple account support for Android users

After a brief teaser a few months ago, WhatsApp has officially rolled out the feature to support two accounts on Android concurrently. This feature offers a solution for users who frequently switch between work and personal accounts, eliminating the need to log out each time or the inconvenience of carrying two phones.

To establish a second account, users will require an additional phone number and SIM card. Alternatively, a phone that supports multi-SIM or eSIM will also suffice. The process is straightforward: users simply need to open WhatsApp settings, select the arrow next to their name, and click on “Add account”. Privacy and notification settings can be managed individually for each account.

Telegram has had this ability for ages. Who uses WhatsApp these days, when telegram and Signal are far better options.
