Professional DAW Studio One 6.5 released with Linux version and Dolby Atmos integration

Studio One, a professional digital audio workstation (DAW) known for its audio recording, editing, and mixing capabilities, has been extended to Linux users with its latest release, Studio One 6.5. Previously only available on Windows and macOS, the new Linux version is currently in public beta. PreSonus, the company behind Studio One, has stated this release is primarily targeted at plug-in developers and advanced Linux users, acknowledging that certain features remain unavailable in the Linux version for the time being.

Studio One 6.5 is not just about platform expansion; it also introduces several new features and improvements. Spatial audio recording, editing, and mixing with up to 9.1.6 channels are now supported, along with an integrated Dolby Atmos Renderer. The update also includes an enhanced plug-in set with multichannel support and DAWproject format support.

Furthermore, Studio One 6.5 introduces keyboard shortcuts for Ableton Live and FL Studio, among other features. The release also includes numerous enhancements and bug fixes, ensuring a smoother user experience.
