Ghost publishing platform unveils built-in native image editor in partnership with Pintura

Ghost, the well-known open source publishing platform, has revealed a new feature: a built-in native image editor. This new addition allows users to make immediate changes to uploaded media directly within the software, maintaining their workflow without the need for additional apps.

The updated image is automatically saved once edits are made, allowing users to resume their work seamlessly. The image editor offers not only simple alterations but also advanced annotations and adjustments. For instance, publishers can highlight specific areas in screenshots, add zoom, arrows, and borders, ensuring their images stand out against the site's background.

This new feature is a result of Ghost's recent partnership with Pintura, the creators of the editing interface. The image editor is automatically incorporated and enabled for Ghost Pro customers at no additional cost. Developers who self-host Ghost on their own servers can enable the Pintura integration by purchasing a Pintura license and inputting the license information inside Ghost Admin. This will activate the image editing functionality.
