Elgato unveils Marketplace for creators to trade digital assets like overlays and plugins
Elgato has launched a new web-based platform called Elgato Marketplace, replacing the previous Stream Deck app store. The Marketplace, which is linked to Elgato account logins, provides a platform for creators to sell plugins, graphics, digital overlays, emotes, and digital audio effects directly to device users (Stream Deck and Wave Link).
Elgato is encouraging creators to use the Marketplace as a means to reach new customers and set their own prices. The company guarantees creators a minimum of 70 percent of each sale made on the platform.
By logging into their Elgato account, users can sync their purchased software and many asset types, simplifying the setup process. The old Stream Deck App Store is being phased out, with updates now exclusively available through the Marketplace.
