Box launches 'Hubs' for enhanced information discovery and usage, integrated with Box AI

Box has launched Hubs, a service designed to enhance information discovery and usage among employees. Integrated with Box AI, Hubs provides a platform for customers to create structured repositories of documents for easy access to key information, acting as a dedicated portal for many types of content such as HR policies or brand assets, thus making the content's purpose clearer.

The service, tightly integrated with Box AI, enables users to extract information, summarize concepts or general information, and compare files within Hubs. This AI integration improves the accuracy of search within a topic-specific content portal, increasing the chances of finding the correct response. Users can easily construct these portals by adding a header, title, icon, and content before publishing.

Box Hubs will be included at no additional cost with Enterprise plans and above, while the AI search function will be available separately with the Enterprise Plus plan. Enterprise Plus customers will begin beta testing Box AI in November, initially allocated 20 queries per month with options to purchase more for larger usage scenarios.
