Furthermore, Ardour 8.0 brings a feature that facilitates velocity editing on a dedicated automation lane for both single notes and chords. It also includes a tool for free drawing automation for any controller, with the option to enable line-drawing mode by pressing the Control (Command) key.

The software now includes a tool to adapt the tempo map to a human performance. It also supports Novation Launchpad Pro in DAW/Session mode, and includes arpeggiator plugins to create new progressions.

Lastly, Ardour 8.0 is compatible with macOS Sonoma, expanding its usability for Apple users. This digital audio workstation (DAW) continues to evolve, providing users with a comprehensive toolset for audio recording, editing and mixing.
