Yahoo Answers to shut down May 4, 2021, read-only mode starting April 20th, 2021
Yahoo is shutting down its question and answer website, Yahoo Answers, on May 4th, 2021. At that point, it will redirect to the Yahoo homepage.
People that visit answers.yahoo.com will see the following announcement:
"Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and beginning April 20th, 2021 (Eastern Time) the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account."
Even after the shutdown, Yahoo Answers users will be able to request their data from the service until June 30th, 2021. Yahoo also posted an official FAQ detailing the timeline, content download process, and how to submit feedback to Yahoo about this feature.
