Version 1.0 of the Uppy file uploader for web browsers has launched
Uppy, an open source and modular file uploader for web browsers made in JavaScript, has just launched its version 1.0 release.
As described in the blog post announcing Uppy's 1.0 release, Uppy is designed to bring several quality of life features and tweaks to uploading files using your web browser of choice. These include support for drag-and-drop, file previews, upload progress, support for selecting files directly from your cloud storage and social media accounts such as Dropbox and Instagram, and the ability to pause and resume uploading large files.
The 1.0 release includes a new user interface, support for webcams, and direct uploading to Amazon Simple Storage Service. It also implements improved support for accessibility and mobile devices, as well as compatibility with React and React Native.
Uppy is available now to implement on your website with installation instructions on both its official website and on its GitHub page.
