Version 57 of Opera for destops has launched, bringing improved recommendations

A new version of Opera has released today, bringing with it some new tab page refinements and bug fixes.

As detailed on Opera's official blog post coinciding with its release, version 57 of Opera for desktops implements a new, refined recommendation engine for the browser's start page. This recommendation engine is powered by artificial intelligence that analyzes your browsing behavior to curate news that it has determined would be most interesting to you.

This AI-driven process is also used for Netflix recommendations (which is only available for users in the following countries, with more being added later:

Other miscellaneous improvements include a more compact design for Opera's settings page, a new page opening mechanism, and the ability to close pinned tabs without having to unpin them first.
