GitHub pushes updates and launches Marketplace
Building on other helpful launches from GitHub Universe last year, the company has released several notable updates to various products alongside the introduction of GitHub Marketplace. The new marketplace offers an easy way for developers to discover and purchase workflow tools including those for continuous integration like Travis CI and CircleCI , project management tools like Waffle and code review tools like Codacy . It also provides a way to share those they create themselves. Coinciding with this launch, the company has also also rebranded its Integrations section as GitHub Apps.
Recent product updates include include a beta release of the revamped GitHub Desktop that is now built with Electron for a more unified experience across platforms, as well as a previously reported extension of Atom that offers core integration with Git and GitHub.
GitHub GraphQL API is also now out of its Early Access phase and is available to everyone. Developers can now create tools using the same API used to build GitHub. Just a single request for the specific data needed returns updates in real time.
