Make games in your browser with Construct 3

Scirra Construct has a long history as a powerful game making tool. It started as a brilliantly conceived, expandable tool for making Windows games. With version 2, it evolved into a more powerful, drag-and-drop visual builder capable of creating multi-platform games. The popular game creation tool continues to evolve with the latest version 3, which is available in public beta. It's now a web app!

Construct 3 takes game development to the browser, breaking it free from the Windows-only constraint of former versions. The tool can be used on any system with the latest version of Google Chrome browser (currently just Chrome is supported). With that big change also comes a new subscription-based pricing model. Considering Scirra has demonstrated its commitment to advancement over the years, a subscription makes perfect sense and better facilitates continued development.

Browser-based game creation isn't new. Tools like GDevelop offer desktop apps as well as a web app, though the web version is significantly less refined. While it's only in public beta right now, Construct 3 is already incredibly adept and appears to match the former desktop version's advanced features. Given the company's track record of development, there's a lot to be excited about.
