Lot of good preconfigured desktop environments. Nice configurations make it easier to use out of box. However, being arch based means sacrificing stability.

Use the Debian edition. The upstream distro for the normal version (Ubuntu) is not well supported for desktop anymore.

Try out a few desktop environments before installing. Personally I prefer the KDE spin. Really good commercial support
