Apps and tools for SEO
When doing search-engine optimization, you need the right apps and tools -- they will save you a lot of time! Here are some of my favourites that I use almost every day.
If you work with backlink strategies and PR in your SEO project, Majestic SEO is simply the best tool to both analyze current backlinks and use when setting future strategies.
All SEO work starts with mapping out your website. Doing this manually is time consuming and for large websites it's impossible. With Screaming Frog, this work is done automatically and you'll also get all meta data and headlines extracted right away.
There are several keyword-finder apps and tools available, and they basically do the same: Find you keywords and provide search volumes and CPC levels. Unless you want to dig in Google Keyword Planner yourself, this is a good option.
SEMrush is one of those Swiss Army Knife type of tools when it comes to SEO. You can check rankings, make keyword analysis, see your visibility level, analyse links and so on. There may be individual tools -- specialized in just one thing -- that are beter at just one aspect of SEO. However, SEMrush is good at a lot of things.
Getting proper ranking is difficult nowadays. If you just open Google and search for a keyword, your location, device and prior activity will hugely affect the results. With AWR, you get "clean" rankings.
