Comments about MusicBee as a Alternative to MediaMonkey
kendo friendoI've tried pretty much every music library frontend out there. I use a combination of AIMP and MusicBee. I make music and have a lot of individual soundfiles that I don't want crowding up my main player, and AIMP can play and stop them from the taskbar without any gui interference. For listening to albums and podcasts I use Musicbee which has a great tagging system and is probably the most visually appealing player I've used.
0MusicBee has a very similar appearance and feature set as MediaMonkey, but is much more customizable, feature-rich, and stable.

Comments about Strawberry as a Alternative to MediaMonkey
It's better than Clementine :-)
0It continues where Clementine stopped. A developed version of "old" Clementine. If you need a music library software, this is probably the closest to MediaMonkey. Simpler, with less functions but adequate.

Comments about Clementine as a Alternative to MediaMonkey
Mediamonkey is a MEDIA manager with a built in MEDIA player. Clementine is a MUSIC manager / player. Mediamonkey manages both VIDEO and AUDIO and isn't just a MUSIC player.
6Is the most complete audio player you can get on linux (at least at the moment), all other audio players aren't as complete as this one is or are based on it and are not as complete as clementine.
1ipod and usb devices don't work.
0On my Mac (late 2013) Clementine does not easily rip CDs from an external drive. It loses Album Artist information. It does not read .aiff files. I don't know what else it can't do, because those functions are so basic I refuse to dig deeper.
