    Why use openshot when you can use kdenlive and do more without crashes or lags. Openshot is made with python which makes it unnecessarly slow. I can't recommend it

    Best video editor out there, great free version. On Linux you have to convert videos to DNxHD before editing them but honestly I'd do that anyways because it's way faster than h264 and makes the editor feel super snappy and responsive. Great color correction and green screening tools as well

    Olive Editor is at a solid start. That said, it's nowhere nearly as capable as Kdenlive. It's been in development for a few years now, and seems to only be maintained by a single developper. As the Github repo states, "Olive is alpha software and is considered highly unstable"
