i like the app but i think the preview window is too little for small screens, but that on a side, it works great with GPU. i'm very pleased with it, worth the money definitely.

Very powerful and easy to learn.

It's right up there with Premiere in terms of professionalism. Premiere has more technical goodies and seamlessly integrates with other Adobe products, but the learning curve is much steeper.

I figured out how to use Vegas in minutes with no instruction or experience in video. That's how awesomely intuitive the interface is.

This is the BEST non-linear-editor (NLE) for several years straight. It is exceptionally easy to use (thus the work-flow is faster) and it is immensely powerful (there has not been anything I needed that it didn't have).

Downsides: no native motion stabilization (try Mercalli ProDAD) and no motion tracking (I guess try Adobe After Effects)

Magix Vegas Pro is the former Sony Vegas, and it has native stabilization, go to VideoFX: Stabilize, or Mercalli ProDad that cames in the pro version, motion tracking you need a plugin, there's tons of them that work with Vegas you don't need Adobe After Effects at all.

What I don't like in this new version of Magix Vegas is that what makes it useful like ProRes format seems to be read only and the GPU for render is not used or not efficient as the Sony Version, so overall, I don't see the need for an upgrade, and worries me that the Magix Video Pro X, the cream of the cream of Magix lacks so much quality compared to Vegas like 16 32 bits rendering or Motion Blur on the Final Render or even Higher quality lossless codecs and so on.
